What colour shoes can match midnight blue bridesmaid dresses?

Posted on Oct 16, 2009 under shoes | 4 Comments

My best friend is getting married and has asked me to help her coordinate the bridesmaids dresses, shoes and purses. The colour scheme is midnight blue (the dresses) and hot pink (the flowers). Originally, she wanted ivory shoes/purses but now she’s not so sure.
The wedding is in August, will silver be considered too much of a "winter" colour?

Probably a whitish tan. Dont wear black. Maybe the same color flats or heels but make sure there is a little bit of other color in it.

Clarks Shoes for Women: Hip Styles for Every Occasion

Finding the right shoes to go with an outfit is not always easy. With so many different styles and colors available it can seem quite daunting when you are trying to find the one pair of shoes that will fit your specific needs. If you choose to buy a pair of Clark’s shoes, however, the selection process can get much easier. Clark’s designs are so versatile that owning several pairs is an easy way of making sure you have the right shoes regardless of the occasion! Here are just some of the options that you will have when shopping for Clarks shoes for women the next time you are in the market for a great pair of shoes.

One option that will look great while fitting in with most situations is the classic low-heeled pump. Clarks features a number of low-heeled pumps that are both beautiful and functional, giving you a feeling of style and grace while keeping your feet planted firmly on the ground. Shoes such as the Lacey and the Un.Pump give you the little lift that you need while maintaining the look of classic pumps, using supple leathers and other materials in beautiful shades of black, brown, and tan which can match almost any outfit. Heels ranging from 1” to 1 ½” will make sure that you are not in danger of losing your balance while maintaining your style.

If pumps are not for you, flats are another way that you can get the look that you want while complementing whatever you choose to wear. The Clarks brand flats are always at the pinnacle of style and comfort, giving you the support that you need while maintaining that same Clarks beauty that is found in all of their shoes. Clark’s flats such as the Un.Poem come in a number of shades and styles, letting you choose the exact shoe that will best complement your wardrobe in the materials that you prefer.

Though often overlooked when searching for a versatile shoe, boots can be a great way to express yourself stylistically. When wearing slacks or long skirts, most boots are pretty much indistinguishable from other types of shoes; it’s only when you decide to show them off that it becomes obvious that the wonderful leather shoes that you’re sporting are actually a pair of amazing boots. Clark’s boots can be found to cover pretty much all of your needs, from the waterproof flat boots like the Regina to heeled options like the Blair and the Rhodes. The variety offered in the various Clarks boot lines matches that which can be found in their other shoes, so you should be able to find just the right boots for your personal style and needs.

For those times when understatement is best, you might consider a good looking loafer as an option worth looking into. Clark’s loafers have subtle styles with an emphasis on comfort, which is just what you need if you’re going to be on your feet often at work or around the house. Loafers such as the Wallabee will wrap your feet in luxurious suede and leather, allowing your foot to move more naturally in your shoes than would be possible with many shoe options.

Even though sneakers once had a reputation for being too casual, they have come into their own as an all-purpose shoe that’s definitely worth having in your wardrobe. Clarks features a full line of classy sneakers like the Un.Spoken, giving you the sort of athletic support you would expect from a sneaker while still supplying you with the comfort level that the company is known for.

Clark’s sneakers are designed specifically to not require breaking in before they are comfortable to wear, and feature some of the best shock absorption and ease of airflow that you will find. The use of luxurious materials in the linings of the shoe helps ensure comfort while also reducing the chance of blisters and injury, so you stay comfortable on your feet for much longer.

A final option to consider is the often-neglected sandal. A number of stylish sandal options are available which can not only compliment your wardrobe but also give you a freedom that you are not used to experiencing with your footwear. Sandals such as the Seagrass and the Tossa are available in a number of different colors, letting you choose exactly the right shade and sandal design to match the look that you hope to achieve. Unlike some other sandals which are a bit too tacky to wear in many situations, Clarks sandals are designed to be stylish and functional so that you can wear them practically anywhere and still never seem out of place.

New York City, located among a cluster of islands surrounding New York Harbour, has an immense amount to offer visitors. That said, many first-timers in the city often feel overwhelmed by its size and multitude of attractions. But rest assured that by keeping a few handy travel tips in mind, you’ll be able to get the most out of your experience in the “Big Apple.”

New York City, like many large cities, has a number of small, distinctive boroughs. Atmospheric neighbourhoods such as Greenwich Village, SoHo, Little Italy and Chinatown emanate the splendours of the city, yet stand on their own characteristically. Even relatively compact regions of the city are known for their unique attributes, such as the farmer’s market in Union Square or the iconic lighted advertisements of Times Square. But one thing is certain: no matter where in the city you go, you’re bound to encounter a host of treasures.

When organizing an outing in New York City, it’s a good idea to arrange an approximate sightseeing route; after all, with a city that’s so vast in size, sticking to some sort of plan might save time and help you get the most out of your visit. Getting around New York City is simple: the city’s subway network is one of the most comprehensive in the world, connecting all parts of Manhattan in rapid time.

However, the best way to see New York is undoubtedly on foot. And apart from offering breathtaking scenery, the park is a centre for New York recreation. Visitors can listen to music groups, watch performers, walk along the trails and even take a romantic horse-drawn carriage ride. The Bronx Zoo, the New York Botanical Garden, Ellis Island and Coney Island also offer great opportunities for outdoor family fun in New York City.

If you’re an art buff, you’ll certainly want to take advantage of New York City’s many museums and galleries. Moreover, a trip to New York City simply isn’t complete without a visit to its famous Theatre District. With world-class performances being staged year-round, visitors are always sure to find a show that suits their theatrical taste. Furthermore, half-price discounted tickets are available at the TKTS centre on Broadway - so you don’t have to pay a fortune to see a fantastic show.

Avid shoppers will be thrilled with New York City’s shopping scene - one of the most prominent in the world. With Stores like Saks Fifth Avenue, Barneys New York, Bloomingdales and Macy’s, there’s something to keep every shopper smiling. And children - as well as the young at heart - will enjoy visiting the world famous toy store, FAO Schwarz. New York also plays host to countless annual festivals and events, such as the International Food Festival, the New York State Fair, New York Film Festival and the New York City Marathon, the world’s largest road race. So no matter what time of year you decide to visit, you’re sure to come across some seasonal excitement.

If you’re planning a trip to New York City, you’ll find a number of superb hotels - like the Jumeirah Essex House - which offer first-class accommodation. And if you stay at a hotel near Central Park New York, you’re guaranteed an experience which encompasses both the animated attractions and serene splendours of the city. So what are you waiting for?
