What kind of shoes do you wear when playing volleyball?
Posted on Sep 25, 2009 under es shoes |i just started playing volleyball this year, but it was on rec. so they really didn’t care what you wore. some people were just wearing running shoes. i wore converse.
So, I’m going to the high school next year and i don’t want to look like a "noob" or w.e
so what do you long-time volleyball players wear?
i also don’t want to buy anything that is too expensive.
i have running puma shoes…
can i use those too?
I wear volleyball court shoes. If you go to any store where they sell sneakers you should find them. Some of the popular brands are asics and mizuno. to tell if they are court shoes you could ask an employee of sometimes on the bottom of the sneaker there are sections that are a yellowish tan color.

I wear Nike volleyball sneakers. Volleyball shoes have rubber bottoms for better traction and agility during the game. I suggest Mizuno volleyball sneakers though.

Well i wear knee pads and court shoes, but the shoes can get pretty expensive.with court shoes You will look the most professional just like all the club players. You could also wear running shoes but either way as long as you got the talent you will do fine.It doesnt really matter how you look the coaches will probably fix you up if they do not like what they see.
Good Luck!

go to a sports store. tell them you need volleyball shoes that have to have good ankle support! You also need knee pads that will work good and ankle socks! Best Luck
Hreadbands are not nessasary and wrist bands make it harder to hit the ball and get itchy after a while

Asics court shoes. The gel bottoms are great for traction so you don’t slip when going after a ball

I used my cheerleading shoes, they were ok…but for next year the upcoming volleyball team is going to buy the same shoes, spanx, bags, and warmups to look like a team. There are sum shoes as cheap as 50 bucks..Try spikevolleyball.com or volleyball.com they might have shoes for sale that will fit your needs

when i play volleyball, my first choice is Asics runners. Asics make a really good shoe and the prices range from $70.00 to $200.00. most volleyball players i know go for those. they’re also easy to find as they are marketed as a running shoe. they also come in a range of colors so it’s easy to match you team.
