Tips For Buying Walking Shoes And Boots

Posted on Nov 21, 2009 under shoes | 13 Comments

There are different tips for buying walking shoes and boots that have to be kept separate. If you are buying walking shoes, you would not be worried about how they would stand up to pressure you would experience while you were riding a horse, and if you had boots on you surely would not want to walk a mile in them just after you bought them.

The tips for buying walking shoes and boots would start with the type of wear that you expect to use them for. If it is incline hills that you would be walking up, then a better made walking shoe would be needed, and you could leave your boots in the closet, because wearing them on a walking trip at a fast pace is considered stupid and life threatening.

With so many styles of walking shoes and boots available to choose from, careful consideration needs to be made as far as support, that I found out from the information tray with tips for buying walking shoes and boots in it at a local department store counter. These handy words of wisdom stated that walking shoes should be broken in before they are worn to alleviate the chance of developing blisters on the heel portion of your foot. The boots will need to be broken in as well, as the cowhide they are made from is stiff and must be made, through continuous wear, to mold to the pattern of your particular foot.

Other considerations that were made in the tips for buying walking shoes and boots that I found on the counter at the local department store, said that the lacing of shoes were very important. If walking at a fast pace, the tightness in the lacing of the shoes will help increase your mileage on a pedometer. The faster you can go without worrying about tripping up on loose laces will definitely increase your walking speed capability.

With boots you do not have laces to worry about and the tips for buying walking shoes and boots, that I found on the department store counter in a box said so. The shoes that are won with the walking shoes and boots are very important. This was another one of the amazing tips for buying walking shoes and boots that I found on the department store counter. The socks absorb moisture in the walking shoes and the boots, and will take the worry out of developing blisters on the heels of your feet.

Shoes For Men

Posted on Nov 19, 2009 under shoes | 4 Comments

It is difficult enough for most women to get their husbands to go with them anywhere to shop. The agony that they go through when they have to go find shoes for men is a whole different ballgame. Encouraging a man to try a new style of shoe is very difficult, if not impossible and rarely happens unless they are ill and unconscious.

The shoes for men today are not like they were even 5 years ago. They used to come in simple styles and simple sizes. A man was willing to make due with black or brown and styles was not a problem that they even thought to consider. Shopping for shoes for men back then was easy. You simply picked up the one you wanted, asked the salesperson to bring it to you in the size you told her and it appeared like magic.

Men seemed, back then, to concentrate on fishing or golf more than shopping for a pair of shoes. They certainly loved their pickup trucks and their time at the ballpark with the grand kids. The shoes for men back then afforded them a comfortable lifestyle, in an economical model that would not break the family budget and would allow him to roam to his hearts content through whatever debris he wanted.

Today, shopping with men for shoes or any other type of clothing is hard to do. The first excuse you will hear come out of their mouth is that they promised to meet a buddy up at the local diner for a cup of coffee, and you will hear them say, “Honey, just go without me. You know what I like.” That is not the case when you do what he asked, and come home with a pair of shoes for men that is not even close to what he expected.

The second excuse is that the shoes he has on are fine and do not need replacing by any other shoes for men that I might have in mind, although that pair have seen better days and are ripping out at the toe and another excuse is given for not getting in the car and going with you. The shoes for men are real hard to fit when you do not have the man’s foot there with you when you buy them. Of course, sizing errors are going to occur, and certainly, the color is not going to be just the right shade of brown to please him.

Do you think I have too much on my christmas list?

Posted on Nov 16, 2009 under off broadway shoes | 15 Comments

I am a 14 year old girl from a lower middle class family. We are not rich, we are not poor, we have just enough to get my. This is what I am asking for this christmas (don’t worry I already have my list for what to buy others) but I’m worried it’s too much. I don’t want to be a spoiled brat and I know times are tough so I’m worried I might be asking for too much. What do you think?

-A cell phone (I will probably get a one of those free ones but my mom is making a 2 year plan with verizon for my sister, her, and i. we used to have one from t-mobile but it sucked so we are switching lol)
-A basketball bag (probably about $20-30 because I am getting my name on it)
-Boots (look-a-like Uggs from Off Broadway shoes for $35)
-Abercrombie sweater ($30)
-Athletic pants ($30 from Adidas)
-Books (depends on how many they get me, probably less than $10 each)

This is just from my parents. Do you think it is too much?

Not at all. Well, its a lot, but its a lot of things that are cheap, and things that you actually need. Very good list, unlike mine.

Shoes For Women

Posted on Nov 16, 2009 under shoes | 4 Comments

With the changing of the seasons, there is a need to go look at shoes for women at the local department store. Each of the new outfits in the wardrobe need to be paired with a wonderful new pair of shoes that will compliment the delicate color in the roses and flowers pattern of the outfits, or need to match that gorgeous handbag that happened to find their way into your closet.

It is a very interesting time when shopping for shoes for women, because the new styles have just been arrived and are attractively arranged on the shelves. The strap lengths and heel choices are very appealing this season but leave you in a quandary to figure out which will fit best on your particular foot. You take a wide styled shoe, and these seem to be just on the slim side but they all are just simply gorgeous nonetheless.

As you pick up this pair and that, a visual picture forms in your mind as to how this particular pair of shoes for women will look on your foot. Another shoes seem to have a more rigid instep than the others, and require a sterner observation. Yes, quite bendable and padded and this pair will give your foot added comfort than any you have seen so far.

The toe area on some of the shoes for women, are close and tight and look quite unappealing to this woman who has long toes and wide feet. The mental picture expands to her viewing herself in a tightly fitting pair of colorful shoes, with pink toes to boot from the pressure they would be under. These are quickly replaced on the shelf.

So early in the season for a sale, but you find some shoes for women that are discounted to attractive prices. With further observation you note that these are not new season shoes, but some left over from last season that have been drastically reduced from the prices that they were marked the previous year.

As you stand and consider the savings you would get against being current and in style, the appealing prices win over your desire to be in fashion, and you decide to buy the shoes for women that were on display at outrageously low prices that only a fool would pass by. Then you pause and wonder, with them being last seasons shoes, would this particular store have your particular size, to fit your particularly long toes and wide feet or would you need to see if they were stocked at the downtown shop of the same name.

Tips In Buying Designer Shoes

Posted on Nov 12, 2009 under shoes | No Comment

Besides bags and purses, shoes are items that women cannot have enough of. In fact, a woman cannot have too many pairs of shoes. Some even have a pair in each color for every outfit. Others who can afford to spend so much have a specific pair for every outfit that they have. Celebrities even have one for every outfit that they have worn on the red carpet of awards nights and premieres.

But for people who can only afford to purchase a couple of pairs that they will be wearing for most of the outfits in their closets, they will have to choose pairs that are versatile and at the same time stylish enough not to be considered out of mode.

Below are some tips in choosing shoes that look like designer shoes but have no designer prices.

Choose leather

Although buying real leather can be more expensive than buying synthetic leather, the cost will be much cheaper in the long run because leather is more long lasting. You can actually use a pair of leather shoes for a long long time. Just make sure that you store them properly, in areas where it will not be moistened as real leather can become home to molds.

Choose the classic

You don’t have to buy Ferragamo or Jimmy Choo to look good. There are designs that will look just as expensive without being really costly. Because you cannot really buy every design in the store, just choose classic designs that will fit your wardrobe.

Choose the fit

Designer shoes may look designer on the shelves but when you wear them, the shoes are not as great looking anymore. There are pairs like these. This does not mean that the design is not beautiful, the cut and the style just does not fit the structure and form of your feet.

Remember that like body types and face shapes, there are cuts and styles that will fit your feet. Choose the design that does not only look classy but also the one that will make your feet look like a million bucks.

Choose the material

Shoes need not be designer especially when you are going to wear them in rough streets and pavements. Remember that designer shoes may have delicate designs such as glass heels and bead works that may not withstand a walk downtown. When buying shoes, make sure that the material and the kind of design will fit your lifestyle and work.

Why does California ban everything?

Posted on Nov 12, 2009 under kangaroo shoes | 6 Comments

From trans-fat to duck liver, plastic bags to such specific things as nooses in halloween displays and kangaroo shoes, why is everything banned in California, especially chemicals?
Some bans make sense, like smoking and such, but bans on things like kangaroo leather, anything that has half a chance of causing cancer (everything does), silly string, glowing fish, and- what has to be the silliest of all - mylar balloons.

Because mommy government knows what’s good for us. Now eat your galoshes and wear your spinach like a good boy or girl.

how do you clean the fuzzy croc shoes?

Posted on Nov 08, 2009 under croc shoes | 1 Comment

I have crocs that have the warm fuzziness inside but they are soo dirty and not even soft anymore. is there a way to clean them to make them soft and pretty again without ruining the shoes?

How to Clean Crocs shoes

Step 1Fill a bowl with some warm water and one drip of Ivory dish soap. You may use another brand of dish soap, but Ivory is the most gentle. Grab a wash cloth and carefully wipe down your Crocs. Wash the bottoms last because they will be the dirtiest. If you wash them first, you bowl of water will become filthy and need to be replaced. Dry your Crocs by laying them out to dry naturally.

Step 2Use Mr. Clean Magic Eraser, which is perfect for getting off those stains that just won’t come off with soap and water. Rub the Magic Eraser over the stain until it disappears. This method works even on scuff marks.

Step 3Fill a bowl 75 percent full of warm water and then add 25 percent bleach. Use an old rag to apply the bleach water to your Crocs. This will not only get them clean, but it will also kill any bacteria. Since Crocs are worn in the summer without socks, this is important. Also, if there is any foot odor, the bleach will get rid of it.

Step 4Fill a bucket with warm water and 1/4 cup of baking soda. Set your Crocs in the bucket and come back for them 10 minutes later. If there is any dirt still remaining on the Crocs, you will be able to scrub it off with an old toothbrush. Let your Crocs air dry before wearing them again.

Step 5Place 1 cup of chlorine in a bucket and add 10 cups of water. Use this solution to wipe down your Crocs and get them clean again. You may want to designate an old rag to be used for this purpose. Air dry your Crocs.

What type of cleats should be used on wet fields?

Posted on Nov 08, 2009 under kangaroo shoes | 2 Comments

I use adidas predator powerswerves w/ the kangaroo leather usually, but I don’t want to keep wearing them down in the rain..
What type of cleat would be the best for rain?
- material type (leather, synthetic, ect)
-studs (molded, ect)

or you can just give me a specific shoe. thanks :D I love them too, which is why I don’t want to wear them in the rain, the leather absorbs the water.. but thanks. I’ll look for long studs.

I always wear kangeroo leather football boots, rain or shine. The best studs for wet weather are screw in aluminium studs. For harder ground a rubber molded sole is better.
